Laws
(1) Newport astro turf league , here after known as the league, will be played by teams, made up of 7 players per side, plus 3 subs
(2) The referee has the right to sin-bin players (minimum 10 minutes). for ANY UNGENTLEMANLEY CONDUCT.
(3)The referee can award direct free kicks against any player for abusive language or misconduct, whether they have the ball or not, as well as being sin-binned or sent off.
(4) THEIR IS A MINIMUM 4 WEEK BAN, on players who are sent off. This can be extended depending on the reasons why the player was sent off. The Manager of the team will be informed.
THE TEAM WILL BE FINED A MINIMUM OF £5.OO.
(5)The semi-circle takes the place of the penalty area.
Goalkeepers are not allowed to handle outside. All players can enter the semi-circle. ANY OF THE DEFENDING SIDE COMMITTING A FOUL INSIDE THE AREA A PENALTY IS AWARDED.
(6) Their is no off-side,and normal throw-ins will be taken.
(7) When a penalty kick is taken all players must be outside the semi-circle, and at least 5 metres from the ball.
(8) THE KEEPER CANNOT HANDLE ANY DIRECT BACK PASS, whether a throw or header etc. "He has to kick it"
(9) Once the ball has been taken in his hands, the goalkeeper is only allowed to throw it back into play. If he does not use his hands , he may act as a normal player inside or outside the box.He can throw the ball outside the area, then play it.
(10) Each team is allowed 3 substitutes who may act as substitutes themselves.
(11) If a team is short of players it may borrow up to 2 players from another team, only of the same standard, and only with the opposing teams permission.
(12) 5 METRES DISTANCE FROM FREE KICKS AND CORNERS.
(13) SUBS CAN ONLY BE USED WHEN PLAY HAS STOPPED.
(14) Free kicks can be awarded against players whether they have the ball or not, and the ref can add 5 metres on for dissent.
(15) All teams must turn up with a ball, It must be bright coloured, White, or Yellow, and must be inflated or go a goal down, also teams must have roughly the same colour tops, or go a goal down,(
ANY ABUSE OR VIOLENT CONTACT EITHER DURING OR AFTER THE GAME TO THE REF OR OTHER PLAYERS WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE MINIMUM OF A 2 WEEK BAN PLUS A FINE. IF WE FEEL IT NECESSARY TO EXTEND THE BAN, YOUR MANAGER WILL BE NOTIFIED.
Minimum 4 weeks for abuse to a referee
REPEATED SENDING OFFS WILL RESULT IN EXTRA FINES AND LONGER BANS.
THIS WILL MAKE SURE THAT TEAMS ARE MADE MORE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PLAYERS
THEIR IS NO CANCELLATION OF GAMES ALLOWED, IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE GAME YOU MUST ARRANGE FOR ANOTHER TEAM TO TAKE YOUR PLACE.
IF YOU DON'T TURN UP AT ALL, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE OTHER SIDES FEE AS WELL, AT LEAST (£40.OO)
REMEMBER
NO DIRECT BACK PASS TO YOUR GOALKEEPERS HANDS=KICK= THROW=HEADER.OTHERWISE DIRECT FREE KICK 5 METRES OUTSIDE BOX
